Dog still hurt..any help?

By admin

Ok so my dog started hurting earlier today. He is a 1 year old puppy who is always active and running around. But all of a sudden, today around mid day he began to hurt which seems like a lot. I will give you the symptoms:
1. He can not jump up or it will hurt him.
2.If you try to pick him up, he will screech in pain.
3.He is not nearly as hyper as ever, but he can still go trot around.
4.I can just tell that he is in pain and wants to be with me.
5.He sometimes shakes when he comes near me.
6.It is his front area that hurts him.
7.He sometimes sits awkwardly, and when he stands up, it sometimes hurts him.
Ok, so he will eat and everything so that is one thing that I know is good. Please help!!!!!
Wow is “Vet” all people can say these days…the vet has been closed for hours, and I dont want to take him and pay a couple hundred dollars to find out that he just has a bruise on his leg. You guys gotta understand that I never said he was in immense pain, he can still jog around, he is just scared to all out sprint….READ!

Something could be broken, or he could have hurt his back.
Take him to the vet!

This is definitely a situation where he needs to go straight to the vet. If he is in that much pain something is wrong.

There could be a million things wrong with your dog so he really needs to see a vet. No matter what it is, it doesn’t sound good.

Four words “Please take to vet”. Internet diagnoses are not very accurate.

5

Take the poor animal to the vet straight away.

I think it would be necessary for you to take your puppy to the vet he may have parvo or possibly a illness that needs treated right away. Then again maybe he pulled a muscle playing and is favoring it. I hope this helps. Good luck

please take him to the vet immediately. it could be nothing or it could be a major issue but no one can help you better than a vet.

Yeah, Everyone here is telling you to take him to the vet. Your dog is in pain. If you were in pain would you want someone asking people on the net weather to take you to the hospital? He is suffering. Alot of vets can work out a payment plan if it is something you cant afford all at once. PLEASE GO TO THE VET!

This is probably an emergency. I would not waste anytime and go straight to the vet.
I once had a small scar on my bone , because i banged my feet while running on something when i was young. It hurt when i moved, but i could still walk with a limb and didnt like anyone touching my foot.
My leg was in a cast for a full 2 months.

Those are signs that he needs a vet ASAP!!

Wow yes that is all we can say. How could you expect someone to properly diagnose your dogs condition over the Internet?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
You dog is in pain and you are denying medical attention because you do not want to have to pay to find out what is causing your dog pain???
That is rediculous….why the hell did you get a dog..
You are responsible for it well being.

And um HELLO ever hear of an emergency vet????

There’s a possibility that he could have broken something. Look at his belly and see if there is a lump. My dog acted just like that and we found a lump on his belly. We took him to the vet and he had to have surgery. So check his belly and take him to the vet! If he doesn’t have a lump on his belly……take him to the vet anyways!

ok so just as you said, you don’t want to find out you’re wasting money just for a simple bruise, but when the vets are OPEN, then do take it there.. these are similar to the same symptoms that our shih tzu had and we didn’t take her to vets until 4 days later because it didn’t seem it was nothing that urgent but it turned out that she had all this damage done to the nerves in her back and she is weak now. So it is worth taking him to the vet as early as you can, if it’s anything like what my dog had it will probably have to stay in the vets for a few days or you might have to get medication for it. It shouldn’t be too expensive unless he has to get the medication or he was in that much pain he had to get surgery.. the best you can do right now is avoid him jumping up onto couches or anything, if he must get up on something lift him up carefully even if he screeches it’s better than him jumping up him self and making whatever is wrong worse. Also light stroking on the painful area might make him feel a little better.. but anyway good luck and I hope your dog gets better :)
