Unless your puppy rolled around in mud, there is no reason to give it a bath at his young age.
If your pup is exceptionally dirty, use tepid water and a shampoo specifically formulated for puppies. Rinse well and towel dry. Because your pup is so young, keep him away from drafts.
Try water for a while, then a week later use a tiny bit of soap, and then next week a tiny bit more etc until they are grown enough to have one with soap.
i have a maltipoo and i just give her a path with puppy shampoo. you can get it at walmart or any kind of pet store. or you can just use baby shampoo. its easy on their skin. just dont use really hot water or anything.
Yes! finally someone smart enough to understand that you don’t need to bathe a dog constantly. I put my pup in a laundry sink ( but for a toy dog a regular sink will do) and gently pour tepid water from a pitcher over the soiled parts. If the dog is particularly dirty, use a wide tooth comb to comb out the mud. Much better for the dog’s skin and coat.
Please don’t use baby shampoo, it has the wrong PH balance and is really hard on the skin and fur.

If you are worried about what soap will do to your puppys skin, use baby shampoo, it is mild and won’t hurt it.
