I Have A Boston Terrior Should I ?
Byi have a year old boston terrior he came from a show dog and i would like to breed him but my vet told me that boston terriors have really bad prostate problems the older they get. i dont want him to have any problems like that so should i get him cut or wait and see if i find a good female?

1.) You posted under fish.
2.) What you vet meant by the comment is that if you want to become a breeder you need to know pretty much everything about the breed and you will need to inform the portential owners of everything. You also need to be aware of these things for the dogs’ sake and the puppies’ sake.

The vet said “they have prostate problems the older they get” ….apparently that statement went in and out the other ear…it means that breed has a problem that the pups stand to get and then pass along to every pup down the line…so yea my all means get him cut….it makes no difference if you do find a “GOOD” female the defect still passes on to the next generation
