Poodles are a good choice for people with allergies & asthma, no dander…they also come in a “toy” size…good for carrying around in a doggy purse decorating with bows and they come in a variety of colors.

try a yorkshire terrier, they are small and they don’t shed.

malteses are cute and small and don’t shed and your mom shouldn’t have a problem with her asthma with one.

get a yorkie….they have hair not fur…no shedding and it won’y effect your moms asthma…i breed them and have 8 myself…they ride in the little cute purses also…the other 2 breeds you selected shed and wouldn’t be healthy for your mom…but their cute also…email me and i’ll show you some pics of my little angels and if you ever decide to get one…keep me in mind.

There are certain breeds of dogs that have a “non-allergenic” coat. These dogs don’t affect people with allergies or asthma. That would be your best bet, some breeds are Samoyed’s and Maltipoo’s. Google them and check them out.

Get a short haired dog. Goldens aren’t the best because they have really long hair and shed a lot.

I have asthma. The only dogs I can have are bichon frises and poodles. They don’t bother me at all. I bet your mom would be fine with them. My doc, (an allergist) said that their dander count is very very low and chances of having an allergic reaction from them are minimal. Why not get a poodle or bichon and see how she reacts? I think she’ll be ok.

my friend has a dog and her mom is allergic but they get it groomed like every week or every other so it doesn’t shed too much
