Honestly your story doesnt sound like it actually happened. If it did you could argue that you warned the kid many times but you are ultimately responsible. You should have the dog muzzled if it is trained to protect you. I dont think you need protection on your walks and a muzzle is easy to take off if you do. Dont worry. Just explain to the kids parent. If the kid denies it tell the parent that hes lying even if its direspectful and see what happens. Youre dog will not be put down but you MIGHT get charged. If you did warn the kid tell them that it wasent the dogs fault that hes trained this way. Tell his parents hes willing to show them that anyone that starts to walk towards him will attack. Even though this is a dangerous act You might have to put him in a wired cage strongly and show them that. Try everything top persist them it wasent ur fault. Next time muzzle him. First bite not to much will happen but it will go on a list and if it keeps happening then you will have a problem. You said it was trained it should not of attacked without a command to do so. The kid should know not to come up to a dog unless they ask and are given the okay. I would have continued walking with the dog but because this did happen you would be responsible for the dog biting the kid.
