What has your vet said when you took your dog to see him?

The vet will have information on this. Go there.

Go to the vet. Don’t ask here…

This might be a worst case scenario here and I’m just guessing at what your dog’s problem might be, but my friends lost a dog who developed a lump on her stomach and it was a hernia. Hernias are very treatable in the beginning, so don’t assume he’s doomed just take him to a vet right away. My friends’ dog actually died from the infection that began when the hernia cut off the blood circulation. Sadly, they had scheduled a vet visit but the symptoms kept progressing, and they didn’t realize how serious her condition was because some dogs can apparently tolerate a lot of pain without acting out. A lump could also just be a fatty tumor maybe, but the fact that his leg is locked and he can’t walk or go to the bathroom by himself indicates he needs medical attention, even if it’s not a hernia.
