Ahhhhh, you really love your dog to be making treats for him. I’m wondering if they even taste the peanut butter in the treat though. Maybe you could find a recipe for him on line.
Here are some recipes I like to use for my sisters lab. She gets them once a month. (Except for the Birthday cake. That is obviously reserved for a special occasion once a year )
Archie Squares, Bad breath banishers and a dog birthday caje!
Archie Squares
2 cups whole wheat flour ½ cup powdered dry milk ½ tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. brown sugar or honey 6 tbs. meat or bacon drippings, cold right from refrigerator 1 egg, slightly beaten ½ cup Ice water Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly oil a cookie sheet. Combine flour, dry milk, garlic powder and sugar. Cut in meat drippings until mixture resembles corn meal. Mix in egg. Add enough water so that mixture forms a ball. Using your fingers, pat out dough onto cookie sheet to ½” thick. Cut dough into squares appropriate for your dog size. Prick each cookie with fork. Bake 25-30 minutes. Remove from tray and cool on rack. Store in airtight container.

BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR DOGS
1lb ground beef-extra lean 8 eggs 1 cup oat meal ½ cup cracker crumbs Using electric mixer, blend all items together until completely blended. Pour into an oblong cake pan sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake in oven at 350 for 25- 35 minutes. Allow to cool. Carefully invert on to plate and frost with non-fat sour cream or imitation potato topping. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
They now sell dog ice cream in grocery stores. My dog loves that. Wow, I can’t believe he hates PB. That’s my dogs favorite food, along with American cheese. >.<
I don’t any dog that doesn’t love just his kibble – and that means the easiest thing – beyond just filling a dish with it – is to put some in a plastic container, add water, soak overnight in the fridge, then fill a Kong toy with it, and freeze it.
They think it’s something new and fascinating, and it doesn’t require any new ingredients that could upset their tummies, cause pancreatitis, diarrhea, or food allergies.
