My dog is sick and I was wondering if what is going on is normal?
ByMy dog has constipated and the vet says he’ll be fine just give him some pumpkin to help soften the stools and if he doesn’t pass in a week to bring him back in. It has been two days and he has started to piss himself.
I was wondering, is it normal for him to do that?

he is probably so constipated that his large intestines is pushing on his bladder.
you need to take him back to the vet and tell him the pumpkin idea is not working. they will give him a medicine to soften his stools. this can be a serious problem and a dog, or a person for that matter, can die if they dont poo!
pumpkin is a good idea for both constipation and diarrhea. but if it is not working, more action needs to be taken immediatley

a week? you never let a dog go constipated more than 24 hours..i would call another vet and get him in..
