My dog smells fine. I let him outside, he comes in with an odor that sends me into an asthma attack every time. It’s not skunk or anthing as offensive. It goes away after he’s back in the house about 20 minutes. But I’m tokin on my inhaler the whole time it’s there. Not sure if he does it in the summer cause we just got him. It’s at it’s worst when theres snow outside. The more snow the more stink and the more I wheeze. What on earth can I do?

Keep a towel by the door, and wipe him off everytime he comes in! This has really helped with my dog!

Its probably the moisture in the air, and in the snow, getting into his fur and bringing out a nasty smell. Even though he “feels” dry, his skin might be moist, which would cause the odour. Other than regular grooming and brushing, you might want to try a “doggy cologne” or a powder-shampoo from the pet store. Never had to use these myself, but some friends use them and they seem to do the trick. Good luck!

What part of the country are you from? I have no idea. Ask people in your neighborhood if they have the same smell with their pets?

either wet dog or u live in the contry like me

Your dog might have a skin infection of some sort, and you can notice it more after the dog has been outside and running around. I’d suggest taking him to a groomer and having him professionally groomed, and taking him to your vet and asking him to examine the dog’s skin and coat for anything unusual.
As a fellow allergy sufferer, I’m crossing my fingers that its something easily fixable so you can literally breathe easier.

Wet Dog Smell! We have it too. Your asthma should get better as you get used to it. (I’ve heard) I don’t know of anything you can do, other than wiping your dog and his feet off when he comes inside. (maybe febreeze? Just kidding!)

you should probably go outside with him that way you can see if hes rolling in anything smelly or not
=]good luck=]

this may sound weird but i heard the reason outside dogs stink is because there is something in the ozone or air or SOMETHING like that lol i dont think there is anything u can do to prevent it when he goes outside but if he is out to long it will start to become permanent. good luck and hope i answered your question!
