Need advice on raising shih tzu puppy and rhodesian ridgeback together.?

As long as they grow up together you shouldn’t have any problems raising the two together at all =D And you shouldn’t have to do anything differently than you would raising any two puppies.

they will nget along great i have shih tzus and apbts so all you really have to do is make sure they dont get to rough with each other.

I have dogs of various sizes in my house. I recommend that you watch them at play…however they will adjust to their size differences as they grow. You might just be surprised and find that your shih tzu becomes the dominate member of the family. Personality makes a big impact…rather than size. I hope you have many years of their love. For correction/distraction on my dogs I use a squirt bottle with a long range…My German Shepherd mix…to my Dotson all respect the bottle.

wow, you are going to have your hands full
As long as these pups are not left alone, they should become great friends. Ridgeback pups can be very physical, and since the RR pup will be so much larger than the other breed, they need to be monitored at all times, well into their 7th and 8th month, and I would never leave a young RR alone with a smaller dog until nearing a year. Better safe than sorry.
