i know this pug. she plays with mine all the time. talk about a loud snorer ha ha! i love her though! she is such a good girl! holly the pug! and that’s her big sister sasha in the background. she isn’t a pug, but she eats so much she could be!

No its just because pugs have a flattened nose, their breathing is very different.
They always have a snort like breathing.
If they sleep they snore always really fast.
My pug haves this too
We went to the vet and got it explained.

Because of the flattened nose their breathing channel is shorter then other dogs.
The Air haves shorter traveling time and when the dog breathes out the air traveling in is bumpin on eachother.
That causes the heavy breathing

what does that mean?

that kind of heavy chesty breathing means they are overheated.
they can die from it if not calmed and cooled down. they wont slow down either when playing, so you have to watch them in hot temps.
