Help translating a poem into old english. Obviously a Romeo and Juliet piece.?
Posted by: | CommentsIt doesn’t sound quite right, likely because I don’t know enough old english… pointers would be greately appreciated. I don’t want a whole change or else it will no longer be something I wrote, just a little help.
Romeo, Romeo, where for art thou Romeo,
a cold husk where a trembling heart used to beat.
heart be stilled beneath my milk white flesh,
love hath died here and I must follow.
Romeo, much hope thy soul still lingers to guide along,
forever in death shall our love live.
That which we could nay find amongst this plain,
the peace be found where the reaper treads.

Does anybody know anything about English Setters?

And if you do can you provide any scholarly evidence that the textus receptus is superior to the minority text which all modern translations are based upon? I know that the TR is much stronger in regard to supporting the divinity of Christ and the trinity but this in and of itself does not represent scholarly evidence. I also know that older is not necessarily better when it comes to Greek manuscripts but…what is the scholarly evidence that the oldest manuscripts have been corrupted? Why do most scholars support the minority text over the TR?

My English Mastiff Puppy seems to be small for his age?
Posted by: | CommentsI recently got an English Mastiff puppy, his breeder said he was 7 weeks when I picked him up. However, when I got him home he did not seem to be as developed as a 7 week pup, so I took him to the vet. She had two litters, so I thought she gave me a younger puppy and lied about his real age. He has a lot of gray on him and was extremely weak when I first brought him home, and resembles a 5 week old pup instead. I took him to the vet, and the vet said he didnt have much experience with mastiffs, but he wasnt stocky enough to be a mastiff. He is a great puppy, and his parents have both their DNA in the AKC registar. I emailed his breeder again and she said he wans’t the runt, but because his l;itter had 10 puppies in it, he seems small. She assures me he’ll be over 200 pounds like his father, but the vet said he looks like he will only reach 80? I feel like that is a huge difference. Any suggestions? This is my first mastiff, so I’m kind of lost on the subject.
