where can i get a basset hound puppy?

Irish Wolf Hound from Pound can’t potty train – help?
Posted by: | CommentsRescued “Honey” nearly full grown and raised in pound, very good natured, but in 4 years can’t train, pees in sleep in house on herself, have replaced rugs, furniture, help!! I love her tons but at witts end, she is now 130 lbs, and very smelly, had her 4 years, 1 other dog, terrier, epileptic also from pound, but no problems with her (they get along great, except terrier territorial when Honey is in the house), Honey is now outside dog most of time. Brought her to Vet who found no medical problem..live in FL and bring her in for storms, feeding and daily loving. She is so lovable and feel bad when she has an accident, don’t know where to start, don’t believe in spanking..
My basset hound growls when eating his food. How do I stop him?
Posted by: | CommentsMy 1 1/2 yr old basset never used to be aggressive around his food, within the past 2 months he now growls at us when we get to close to him when he is eating. In fact, he does that around certain toys also. He is a great dog other than that issue. What would have made him become protective of his food and his toys?
How do we get him to stop?
Also the thing is… before I feed him he has to sit on his bed and stay before he eats, before we go outside I walk out first, when we go for a walk he does not walk ahead of me or pull me along. When he gets anything, he has to “earn” it by sitting on his bed or sitting. I am the only one in the house that he completely listens to. So I feel that I am the alpha dog.
How can I make my basset hound fatter?
Posted by: | CommentsI think she looks thin, and sometimes hard to feed. She only eats her feeds if I’ll be the one to feed her, with my own hands.
How about vitamins and milk? will it work?
I gave her and her mom (also a basset) one capsule of Vitamin E this afternoon.
how do i convince my mom into letting me get a basset hound?
