Pink FLoyd – Cymbaline (movie version subtitulada)

Cymbaline, por Pink Floyd, version de la pelicula de Barbet Schroeder de 1969 “More” acompañando algunas secuencias y subtitulada al español El titulo parece una referencia al rey Cymbeline, de una obra de Shakespeare, si bien se asemeja a la palabra cymbal, instrumento de precusion conocido vulgarmente como platillos, a los cuales se ve que era aficionado Roger Waters en las actuaciones de Pink Floyd de finales de los 60 y primeros de los 70. En cuanto a su significado en la cancion, el protagonista nos narra una pesadilla (que luego es ademas representada en el solo de teclado de Wright) en la cual Waters empieza a tratar el cinismo de las discograficas; en el estribillo, debatiendose en la pesadilla, le dice a cymbaline que ya es hora de que le despierte y le arranque del mal sueño, por lo que se puede concluir que, de un modo poetico, Waters le escribe a su despertador. A pesar de la controversia, estoy convencido de que en esta version canta el mismo Roger Waters. Ya es la hora, cymbaline…
