How Much Should I Charge For Pet Sitting?

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

The woman I am pet sitting for has 3 dogs and 1 cat. The cat is diabetic and needs an insulin shot every 12 hours (between 5 and 6, AM and PM). Additionally, the other animals all take medicines for various reasons (arthritis and whatnot) at each meal.
They live in the desert up against a mountain, and have the threat of mountain lions and coyotes to the littler dogs. So, I must accompany them outdoors always for all potty breaks.
They’re snake trained, and I might have to call a gila monster removal guy, should the need arise.
It’s a bunch more than I am used to, so I am unsure what a fair price would be.
Help. :)
(It’s three days… Staying 2 nights… 4 insulin shots… 4 feedings and an unlimited amount of outdoor trips depending on the dogs habits)

How much bigger will my puppy get?

Posted by: admin | Comments (11)

My seven month old puppy is a mixed breed. Probably Australian Cattle Dog, Beagle, and Labrador Retriever. He weighs 25 pounds, has a 17″ neck and 21″ around his mid-section behind his front legs, and about 13″ at the shoulder. He may be 15″ – he’s a wiggleworm.
He has all his adult teeth, and he was neutered at about16 weeks.
He is also a little longer than he is tall. He is dark chocolate brown with some “ticking” of light tan and chocolate & black on his feet.

My american staffie has been having seizures since sept. She is under the care of a vet,and has had her pheno level upped twice since. She still has the seizures, and are horrible to watch. She sees the doc in 2 day’s,we just try to handle it the best we can. My vet say’s it’s ok to give her an extra dose when she is having her seizures. She is now on 5 grains a day,she seems to be ok during the day. The last 2 nights she had one about the same time each night. We love our dogs exceptionally, but hate to see her go through this. We have her bro and her mom also, and they are fine. Callie seems to be more aggressive towards them more than ever now, sometimes she frightens us. My husband feels that if she does not get better than we should have her put to sleep rather than watch her suffer. It’s a horrible thought, yet I do not want to be selfish. Any advice? Our Vet said last time that we had a lot of room to work with could this be true? I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

How much is this dog breed?

I am going to College next year, and plan to get an apartment the year after. I am going to room with my friend, and at his house he currently has a Shih Tzu. I was wondering; how expensive are they? And are they really good apartment dogs?

I adopted a 12 week old husky mix from a shelter last thursday and he poops over 8 times a day. I only let him eat a cup and a half of food a day total. His poop smells awful and is very wet and goopy. What could be wrong with him? He has been dewormed once, had two parvo virus shots, and a bordtettla. I also have a lab mix and he only goes poo twice a day and that is how it has always been. PLEASE help, I am frustrated and scared!

I have read online that Dachshund’s are prone to weight gain if over fed and I would like to maintain a healthy weight on my pup. He is 7 weeks old and his lifestyle includes a small yard to run in and daily walks (especially once he gets use to the leash.) I want to keep him as happy and healthy as possible. I haven’t been able found anything online about the amount of food to feed a small dog to avoid over eating and unhealthy weight gain. Thank you for your help :)

Lately I have been having some stomach troubles and I don’t think it was something I ate. Could it be related to my dog licking my face too much?

How much is this horse worth?

Posted by: admin | Comments (7)

I’m not planning on selling my horse at all. I just want to know what you guys think hes worth. Here’s a little about him…

Breed: Tennessee Walking Horse
Height: 16.2 hands
Color: He’s a beautiful black that almost never fades
Age: 16; but acts like hes 2.
He is completely sound and has NEVER gone lame, never colicked, never foundered, never had any diseases other than a common horsey cold/cough(he sometimes has a touch of allergies). He the best teeth a horse could have. Prior to last year, he hadn’t got his teeth floated in 6 or 7 years and vet said that his teeth didn’t even really need to be floated. He’s just VERY healthy.

I show him in the Non-Trotting(2 gait, equitation, GAYP, and racking horse 3 gait) division at shows and he always catches the judges eye. Can jump(2’6″) and I have shown him in HUS in lower level shows. Has many miles of trails and rodes. Is not spooky and is used to everything from dogs, to cars, to atvs, to loud machines(long story)
He has a great willing personality and learns very quickly. He is the sweetest horse I have ever been around and loves people and attention. Overall, he is a great horse and I wouldn’t sell him for anything.

What do you think?
I forgot to say that he has some trouble cantering in small areas like rings. But when hes on a trail he has a GREAT canter. Also, he has great bareback gaits too. He LOVES water and galloping…..really fast…..oh man he is fast. Fastest horse I have ever ridden. =)
yeah i definitely understand the age thing. it seems like all the good ones are old….haha. if only horses lived longer ;)
i bought him for 1600 when he was 5 years old…he had very little training then, but was still a sweety pie =]
