For all this talk of the “gay agenda” rates of homos*xuality have remained constant at a relatively low level (around 3 percent of the population) HOWEVER since we have begun our struggle for acceptance and civil rights our lives have become a lot easier. We aren’t harassed by the police as much, we aren’t beaten as much, we aren’t killed as much, we aren’t disowned by our families as much. We are allowed to find gainful employment, to find housing.

Basically everything that no human being should ever have to worry about just because they wanted to find love.

I have no doubt most of you agree with me that all of these are positive changes. If you don’t then you are an inhuman monster with no sense of compassion and this question was not intended for you so do whatever flaming/trolling you came here to do and be gone with you.

Here’s the trouble, the struggle has not been an easy one, we have had ups and downs, defeats, a disease that hit us like a holocaust, and through it all, the people we’ve been struggling against for these basic rights and comforts have been… well… YOU. Christians. We have had glimmers of hope, with laws protecting us form being fired or thrown out of our homes coming up for consideration and knocked down by large christian organizations who top it off by holding press conferences and calling it a “victory for decency”.

When AIDS hit us the hardest and all of our friends were dying around us, and we were scared to death, beat down about as low as a human could get, who should appear on the horizon but fat smarmy televangelists like Jerry Falwel gloating GLOATING about our misery and calling it a punishment from god. Looking to conceptualize deep-seated prejudices in ignorant people in order to gain political clout and money

These people represent you, they read the same texts, they preach the same “hope” and condemn the same “sinners”, and they revel in other peoples suffering, like a dog rolling in a rotting carcass. They are absolutely vile.
