My dog won’t stop peeing on our rugs?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a 2 year-old basenji mix who is 98% house broken. At night if she has to pee she will find a rug, usually in the basement and pee on that? We have hardwood floors thru-out, but she always has to pee on one of our rugs? We have tried caging her at night for a couple weeks, but she will resume her old habits in a few days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, especially since we have decided to carpet the basement!!
Thanks
My dog will NOT stop digging!!! what can i do?
Posted by: | CommentsFirst off, my dog is a husky/akita mix. I know they tend to dig. A little does not bother me, but this is getting ridiculous! I used to keep her tied up because she would escape the yard. She dug constantly. I talked to a dog trainer and they said if she is off the chain then she will quit digging. The fence was replaced and now she is untied. She quit digging for a couple weeks, but now is back at it again. I have tried to just about everything. I heard putting chicken wire under the dirt. She is sporatic on where she digs so that really wont work unless i do the whole yard. I have put her poo in a hole she has dug and that hole she never touched again. Problem there is i havent seen her poo in weeks. have two dogs, hard to know whose is whose. Lately she has been digging under the house. This hole keeps getting bigger and bigger. I am at a loss…is there anything else to try or any advice out there? I am about ready to put duck tape on her feet.

How to stop a dog fight?
Posted by: | CommentsOk, I had 4 dogs (2 australian shepherds, 1 Great Perynees, and 1 miniature schnauzer). Then, the mini schnauzer dies!!!
My family was so upset, that we just got another mini schnauzer! (she’s sooooo cute!!) Ok, I have this giant fenced-in yard for all the big dogs to play in. Here’s the problem: when I take the new puppy (4 months old she’s an inside dog, so we only take her out sometimes) outside to do her business and to play with the other dogs, they bare their teeth at her and chase her!!! What am I supposed to do? They really hate her!

My basset hound growls when eating his food. How do I stop him?
Posted by: | CommentsMy 1 1/2 yr old basset never used to be aggressive around his food, within the past 2 months he now growls at us when we get to close to him when he is eating. In fact, he does that around certain toys also. He is a great dog other than that issue. What would have made him become protective of his food and his toys?
How do we get him to stop?
Also the thing is… before I feed him he has to sit on his bed and stay before he eats, before we go outside I walk out first, when we go for a walk he does not walk ahead of me or pull me along. When he gets anything, he has to “earn” it by sitting on his bed or sitting. I am the only one in the house that he completely listens to. So I feel that I am the alpha dog.
