Dods are always eager to please anyone they see as a pack member. As long as there well treated thell give it there all if you know how to tran them.

you can train a dog even at the age of 5and6 years old i took a boxer i have two he had habit i thought i never break he was 2 and he loved to chase cars and try ed to bite them when we walked well i try ed everything you can think of i am in police work so i work with k9 i went got a gentle leader to us when you walk him that didn’t do no good
i found out all it took was that little stern word stop it he is not doing it anymore and today he his my partner in the police force . it take time and love and devotion and you will seen result. god bless

I have an 11 year old lab/shepherd mix that still learned new obedience tricks. It is good to keep their minds sharp by constantly “teaching” them new tricks/commands for as long as they live.

When he gets senile. That “can’t teach an old dog new tricks” is a myth. Teaching your dog mew stuff all the time is good for him. keeps his mind active and he’s less likely to become bored.

You can teach dogs no matter what age they are.
Some dogs become senile when they become elderly, but you can teach them new things right up until their memories start failing them.
My 12 year old greyhound was learning new tricks until the day he died. Not always tricks that I taught him, but he was learning anyway. He figured out how to work the baby gate a few days before.

A dog can learn at any age. Don’t listen to people who say they can’t I know from experience. They know what they think they know because either they don’t know what they are doing or they were told that by someone that didn’t know what they were doing. Probably both.
