There are several kits on the market aimed at pets, check out those and go from there. (bought mine at the American Red Cross)

All these answers are great. they did forget water though.

Clean water, if you’re not going to bring any with you anyway.
Bandages (like the brown stick to itself type)
Non-stick gauze
Medical tape (I like the silk type)
Antiseptic rinse (like bactine!)
Antibiotic ointment

Very good idea. I was on a walk one day and my shepherd stepped on a piece of glass or something… she didn’t make a noise, but it was a pretty good scrape! I didn’t have bandages. I ripped up the bottom of my shirt to make one, and it just fell off. So instead, I had to carry her all the way back. Let me tell you, 120 lb girl carrying a 90+ lb shepherd a quarter mile through the woods back to the parking lot must have been a funny sight!

How experienced & squeamish are you? That makes a big difference.
I keep lots of different things than the average civilian would…could be trusted with.
I keep both wormers & albon & betadine & eye-gunk & valium & phenobarb & vet wrap & a thermometer & …on & on.

Most folks can’t handle a boo-boo,let alone anything more complicated.
